Fort Freeland Monuments & Markers

The Warrior Run-Fort Freeland Heritage Society and the Tiadaghton Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution dedicated a memorial marker to the Battle of Fort Freeland on July 28, 1996.

                                   

 

On October 2, 2016,  the Warrior Run-Fort Freeland Heritage Society and the Tiadagthton Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution dedicated a monument to the Patriot Soldiers of the PA Militia, 3rd Battalion, who gave their lives when dispatched from Fort Freeland, and were ambushed by Indians at the McKnight Farm near Fort Freeland on April 26, 1779.

 

The Hower-Slote House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 5, 1979 by the United States Department of the Interior.
